Garlic Oats

Woke up feeling poorly. Decided it might be a cold, and that I should fight it the way my grandmother would, with old-fashioned garlicky chicken soup. Of course, since this is part of the Oataku Chronicles, you know what happens next. So, chicken stock and lots of crushed garlic, fresh from the jar. No chicken fat to give it that chicken fat goodness, but we’ve got some unsalted butter, and salt.

Setup: Chicken stock, garlic, poultry seasoning, onion powder, unsalted butter, salt

Result: Very, very good, in a chicken soup sort of way. Maybe too much salt. Salty goes much better in soup than in oatmeal. Nevertheless, I feel much better now.
